Visual WISSIS HSRS Interface

The Visual WISSIS HSRS Interface permits counties to capture their client, episode and service registration data directly into their local Visual WISSIS data system as it is entered into the State of Wisconsin Human Services System (HSRS). This integration between Visual WISSIS and HSRS enables client-specific transactions to be automatically linked with HSRS Client SPCs and the related data. Therefore, State reporting requirements of HSRS Units and Costs data is literally automated and transmitted to the State system upon verifcation and checkout. The major benefits are elimination of duplicate entry and increased ease of use and accuracy in reporting, both to the county and to the state.

Because this system operates in an on-line real time mode, it is superior to so-called "batch" updating because it takes advantage of the state host sytem for data validation before the data is brought into the local system, thus preserving and improving data integrity throughout.
