Visual WISSIS WiSACWIS Interface Extension

Need for Visual WISSIS WiSACWIS Interface

The Visual WISSIS Client data system interfaces with the State HSRS system eliminating duplicate entry of client data. However, with the transfer of the Children in Substitute Care data to WISACWIS, Visual WISSIS is no longer able capture the data of this module in those counties implementing the WiSACWIS program.   The solution to this problem is the VW WiSACWIS Interface. With this system data that is entered into WiSACWIS is automatically transferred into the local system (Visual WISSIS) for check writing and financial integration with the department and county's General Ledger.

WiSACWIS Enhances G.I.T. Family of Human Service Software Offerings

WiSACWIS Interface is the newest member of the G.I.T.-developed software family for Human Service agencies. The existing members are Visual WISSIS, the 5th generation of the single most widely used Human Services system in Wisconsin, Visual CMS a clinical management system for client and 3rd party billing including MA and CSP case management, and the HSRS Interface system. When used in conjunction with each other, they provide the most complete, integrated system possible.

County, WiSACWIS, and G.I.T. working together...

G.I.T., with support from the State WiSACWIS Team, developed a new means of populating the local HSRS database with WiSACWIS client information using the WiSACWIS interface database. This program also reads and processes the Check Write File into VW for agency processing and forwarding to the County system for generating checks to the provider. This program, entitled VW WiSACWIS Interface, is available by G.I.T. to any counties who might be interested in it.

From initial data entry to financial output...

The WiSACWIS Interface database is created from each county's production WiSACWIS data. Each county has their own Oracle Lite 9i WiSACWIS Interface database residing on a local server. A nightly process is run in each county after all of the WiSACWIS batch processing has been completed to refresh the local database with data updates from the day. Counties can also optionally refresh the entire database although this is a lengthy process.

for better management and service to clients.

Counties who desire this interface to WiSACWIS data must purchase Oracle Lite 9i, have it installed on a local server, install the State-developed replication client (Java), and establish a VPN connection to the State server. Counties will then need the G.I.T. VW WiSACWIS Interface to pull WiSACWIS data from the local interface database. The data is then integrated with the agency's financial and case management/reporting system, Visual WISSIS, for subsequent electronic transfer to the County check writing and financial system.

G.I.T. Industry Expertise, Products, Help Desk, & Other Tools Available to Assist.

Counties who install the Visual WISSIS WiSACWIS Interface will be able to take advantage of the same G.I.T. Service and Support available to Visual WISSIS users in general.
